What is the difference between a contractor and an interim professional?
An interim professional is self-employed. A contractor is employed by Smelt and seconded to you.
What is the difference with payrolling?
With payrolling, you have already found the candidate yourself. With a contractor, Smelt finds the right person for you.

As the employer, Smelt coordinates the applicable absence and reintegration process. We explain the arrangements and any related costs in the proposal.
How long can a contractor work for us?
The duration and any extensions depend on the contract and applicable employment rules. We discuss the options with you before the assignment starts.
Can you also train the contractor?
